The Impact You�??ll Make in this Role
As a Workday Payroll & Time Analyst, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
  • Providing the technical business support and expertise for leveraging Workday and other technologies to enable and optimize payroll and time processes across the globe
  • Managing Workday Payroll and Time configuration activities, trusted changes, and defect resolution, in alignment with HR�??s short-term and long-term priorities and global regulations
  • Identify, provide business case and, if appropriate implement automation and/or process optimization opportunities
  • Collaborating with HR, Global Service Centers, Finance, IT and more to gather functional requirements and translate them into system configurations to meet critical business needs
  • Staying up-to-date with relevant federal, state, and local payroll and timekeeping regulations and conducting thorough testing of system configurations to ensure accuracy and compliance within Workday Payroll and Time processes
  • Seeking, sharing, and applying external trend knowledge and relevant information to further enhance HR processes and improve end user experience
  • Developing cross-functional knowledge of Workday and learning best practices to assist in the peer review process
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor�??s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited university
OR
  • High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution and a minimum of eleven (11) years of experience with business technologies
  • One (1) year of Workday Payroll or Time Configuration experience
  • Five (5) years of Human Resources and/or IT and/or Project Management in a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
  • Strong understanding of payroll and timekeeping, concepts, processes, and regulations
  • Workday configuration expertise, especially within US Payroll and Time functional areas
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform and any RPA tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with global, cross functional teams and across multiple functions and disciplines
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
